Merino is the heart of these leggings. On its own it doesn't stretch and recover the way a legging must, so we add a little nylon for durability and elastane for stretch.

The minimum needed, nothing more.

That scratchy feeling you remember was real, it just came from coarse wool.

Fibers over 30 microns press on the skin. Ours is 17.2 microns, so it bends against you instead.

Soft Scratchy

Merino Wool 17.2 microns. Too fine to scratch. Regular Wool 30+ microns. The scratchy sweater you remember.

Merino is one of the most breathable fibers there is.

It takes in moisture as vapor, up to a third of its weight before it even feels damp, and releases it into the air, so heat and sweat move out instead of building up against your skin.

And ours is knitted fine and light, not thick like a winter base layer. Spring, autumn and winter, indoors and out.

Smell builds up when sweat sits in the fabric, and merino locks that moisture inside the fiber.

In a University of Otago study, merino held 66% less odor than polyester.

Wear them three days in a row and see.

A wool cycle at 30°C or below with a wool detergent.

Do not tumble dry, on any setting. Hang them to dry.

Washed this way they keep their size and shape, and you will wash them far less often than you are used to.

  Australian GST and any import charges are payable by the recipient.
